A 4,000-year-old civilization comes to life as students embark on a journey to three cities that have undergone modern transformations. We start in Beijing, the political and cultural center of China, to tour ancient sites such as the Forbidden City and the Great Wall and modern ones such as the newly built Olympic Park. Students then travel to Xi’an to see Terracotta warriors and learn about China’s ancient history. Our tour finishes in Shanghai, where we explore an epicenter of internationalism, The Bund, and learn about Shanghai’s booming economic growth.
